(Our usual FRIDAY dance this month will be on a THURSDAY!)

LIVE BAND FROM NEW ORLEANS!!! Some of you may remember the GREAT
band from New Orleans that UAH hosted a year or so ago (The Loose
Marbles.) Our March live band is the core group of Loose Marbles
players, in an ultimately cool ensemble called "TUBA SKINNY" !
Whether you want to dance, or just listen to some fanTAStic music,
do NOT miss this band!

Thanks to everyone who came to swing out to the Dean Martinis with us! We had great turn out and a great time! There were about 20 people at the beginner lesson alone!

Thanks to Tabitha and Gabriel for teaching as always and thank you to Rob and Kristen for the intermission DJ'ing. It was great to see all the new faces at the dance as well as all of the great lindy hoppers.

One of our favorite musicians is gracing us all the way from the frigid north east again to bring us her folksy swing. Miss Tess and the Bon Ton parade will be playing a concert (with the wonderful dance floor) at the FlyMo Friday, March 12. So come see miss tess friday and hit the Big Band sound with Moondust Saturday at the Elk's lodge!

UAH will be holding their winter dance Friday, January 22nd from 8-10:30 at the UAH university center.

Before the dance, Reuel Reis will teach a beginner lindy hop lesson from 6:45 to 7:45.

The lesson/dance is free for UAH students and $10 for non-students.

Everyone is welcome! UAH Students are our special
concern, of course, but other students, or non-students
are welcome to join us anytime! Spread the word, and
bring your friends . . . swing dancing is addictive!

Do I need a partner?

We have the Old Town Buskers. A band from nashville of swing dancers, for swing dancers!

The band will start at 8 with Tabitha and Gabriel teaching a beginner swing lesson before hand. So even if you've never danced before, come on out at 7. Learn what you need to know, and enjoy a night on the dance floor with great music!

Moondust is back! A dozen and a half musicians including their incredible singers are back for the new year. That Big Band sound is one you can never get to much of so come on out and howl at the moon! Check out more of moondust at http://moondustbigband.com/.

The Dean Martinis are coming back again this February to light up the Monkey! The Dean Martinis are a great swing band from Nashville and regulars for Huntsville. They've played for us before and even played a thank-you concert for Huntsville last fall!
